Starting An Internet Business Made Easy!

drive trafficThese days a lot of people want to start an internet business, but they are not always sure exactly what to do first. I encourage them to focus on the most crucial component: keywords. Everything begins with keywords. You write articles around the keywords people are actually looking for in the search engines. Then Google and the other engines post your page higher in the rankings which then drives more traffic to your site. With greater traffic comes greater sales. It really is that easy.

Start an Internet Business With Relevant Keywords

So it makes no sense to just pull keywords out of thin air. People will not find your articles that way. Once article can include up to five or six keywords, so I let the keywords dictate what I write about. All that matters is what people want to know. If you keep that in mind, you will get very rich on the internet.

Start an Internet Business With Strategic Placement

You also want to use your top keyword in the title of your article near the beginning. For example, if you do a search on “webinar strategy,” you might find this article, “Webinar Strategy – Four Ways To Promote Your Business.” Someone looking for information on webinar strategy will find this article and read it because it is exactly what they are looking for.

Start an Internet Business With Creative Titles

Remember your title serves two purposes. It should have the keyword in it, but it should also generate some curiosity because you want people to read your article. you want them to see you as an expert on the topic, and you want to get the backward links.

Start an Internet Business With Repetition

When they go to your site from your article, they will sign up for your list and get whateve other information you have. You should also repeat your top keyword a few times in the article itself and even sprinkle less competitve keywords throughout the body of the article and rank in Google for those, too. You can end up doing double duty with these less competitive keywords.

So begin by doing your research. Figure out exactly what people are typing into the search engines for your niche. Then use those keywords as much as possible. You will see a difference in the amount of traffic AND your sales!

Article Marketing Makes Starting An Internet Business EASY!!

Do you have an idea rolling around in your head? Would you like to know how to start an internet business? It is actually very easy, and something you can work on today.
In the past few years, I have begun a number of businesses. I have even been able to help others get their businesses off the ground, and each time I get started, I always use article marketing. I do this because well-written articles will bring in high search engine rankings and in turn more traffic to my site. Let me show you why it works.
How to Start an Internet Business – Submit to Authority Sites
The first reason they work is because you submit them to an authority site. When you submit to article directories like Ezine articles, Article Snatch, or Articlesbase, many times your article will get ranked in Google for your particular keyword right away. Usually within weeks. So write a 300-700 article with a resource box that points back to your website, and use the authority of these sites to build your reputation as an expert in the field.
How to Start an Internet Business – Generate Direct Traffic
The second reason they work is because they generate direct traffic. Once you submit your article to an article directory, other people come and pick it up. Let’s say you have a website about dogs, and these are other people’s sites: a dog blog, dog health forum, dogs.com, puppies.com. They all come and pick up your article, post it on their site, and when people come to visit those sites, they read your article. They also see your resource box, and then they can find their way over to your website. You get easy traffic all from that one article.
How to Start an Internet Business – Build Backlinks
The third reason they work is because of backward links. A backward link is like a vote. Many times my pages and my interior pages show up in Google because lots of other people have posted my articles to their sites. For each one of these, I get a backward link, and as I start to amass backward links, I rank higher and higher in Google.
Getting on the first page of the search results for your keyword and staying there are two different things. There are lots of other people competing to be on the first two pages, and the competition is fierce. Article marketing can be the best tool to keep you on top.

How to Create and Setup Your Own Webinar!

If you want an effective way to communicate with hundreds, even thousands of people, look no further than a webinar. This modern tool enables you to present your ideas, products or services to tons of people all at the same time. All it takes is a few simple steps to plan out a webinar.
Step 1: Create a webinar presentation that gets people to take action.

Whether you are using the webinar to sell condos or tell them you are the best dentist in town, every webinar should have a call to action. That “call to action” could be go to my web site and buy my product …or it could be pick up the phone and schedule an appointment, but the goal of every webinar is to get the webinar attendee to DO SOMETHING! Never forget this.
Create a powerpoint presentation that educates and engages your attendees. Tell them exactly what you want them to do and how to do it. This is the most fundamental rule of webinar planning.
Step 2: Pick a webinar hosting company.

As you think about your needs and your budget, you will want to pick just the right webinar hosting company. There are lots of options. If you think you will have no more than 1000 people and you are going to host lots of webinars in a year, your best bet is GoToWebinar.
Step 3: Set up your webinar.

Now that you have picked a webinar host, you will need to set up your webinar. Usually your hosting company will provide a set up page where you will be asked to provide a title, description, date, and time for your webinar. You will also be asked to set up any polls or surveys.
Polls are a great way to generate interaction with your attendees. A good poll question would be, “What is stopping you from achieving success in (your topic).” You would show four obstacles and allow them to choose the most important obstacle to them.
This is a great way to get your attendees to admit they have a problem that is not easily solved. And when you show the results of the poll live on the webinar, it is great social proof that they are not alone and that many also struggle with this problem. They are also in a better place to ask for help by purchasing your products or services!
You can also use an exit survey when conducting a webinar. See if your attendees enjoyed your presentation, and ask them what helped them the most. You can use their responses as testimonials for your next webinar or webinar replay.
Also, ask them if they would recommend your product or service to their friends and family. If they answer “yes,” then pick up the phone and call them after the webinar because they have indicated they are a hot prospect and warrant a phone call!
Step 4: Create your own registration page.

After you set up your webinar, you need to invite your attendees. You can use the generic registration page that the webinar hosting company gives you, or you can create your own. I prefer to create my own so I can control the look and feel of the registration page. This also allows me to differentiate myself from all the other webinars out there.
Here’s a great tip: require FULL CONTACT information on your registration page. Then before the webinar begins, you can send them a reminder phone call. Afterwards you can follow up with your attendees because you will have their mailing address.
If you feel up to it, you can even offer a special price or package to encourage more sales.

Ideas to Simplify the Holidays

You are probably saying to yourself that I have lost my mind if I think I can have a Stress-Free Christmas. Well, my mind is still here and we have had several Stress-Free Christmases in the past few years. I thought I would share some of the lessons I have learned to help reduce the stress during our holiday seasons and celebrate the origins of Christmas.

1. READ GOD’S WORD EVERY MORNING.

Starting my day with God’s Word seems obvious, but sometimes it gets left out. I need to hear from God and speak to Him each day so that I am strengthened and ready to be the mom He wants me to be. At breakfast, we have family devotions and can start our kids’ day on the right foot as well. Each of the kids know they are to read their Bible when they wake up. Of course, some need a little more reminding than others.

2. DON’T DO EVERY ACTIVITY THAT COMES ALONG.

This seems quite apparent, but it took me about 10 years to learn this lesson. Actually, my wonderful husband helped me learn how to reduce the activity in our lives during the holiday season. In the past, I wanted our kids to experience everything available during this season. What was actually happening was I began to harbor stress that would usually explode around Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. (I’m sure none of you have ever experienced this :o)

3. SIMPLIFY YOUR ACTIVITIES.

What works for our family is to choose 1 or 2 Christmas activities to attend outside our home. Anything else we do is done in our home. One of the best ways this reduces stress is that I am not “persuading” my husband to attend one more Christmas activity each week. He still spends all day working to provide for our family. Consequently, he is much happier going to a few activities and enjoying our family and friends at home. We enjoy having others in our home, so we capitalize on this. Our children help us clean and cook, so our work is reduced and I am not stressed when our guests arrive.

4. ENJOY YOUR HOME.

I will always have more activities for us to do than we have time for. This past Thanksgiving weekend I decided which activities will wait until next year.

REMEMBER: YOU CAN’T DO EVERY THING, EVERY YEAR.

I try to choose activities that encourage my children to think of others, instead of themselves, during the holidays. One of the activities we used to do is raising money for a missionary family. My children would take orders for small loaves of pumpkin bread and chocolate chip cookies. After baking and delivering the goodies, they would pay me back for the supplies. The rest was their profit which was used to buy games and toys for a missionary family friend. This year we hope to have some kids over to bake cookies so that their moms can do some Christmas shopping alone. We might host a Christmas card stamping party for younger kids. I’m still brainstorming how that will work. I have some other ideas that are included in Celebrate Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany:  http://budurl.com/christmascelebration.

5. MAKE CHRISTMAS YOUR SCHOOL

Drop some of your formal academics and enjoy the season. There are plenty of math, writing and reading concepts we practice as we bake, shop, and prepare for Christ’s birthday. When my kids were homeschooling, we still read aloud each morning and then worked on a Christmas project. This may include handwork type crafts or other quiet projects.

DO YOU FEEL STRESSED DURING THE HOLIDAYS?

Take a moment right now and prioritize all the activities available to your family. Choose only 1 or 2 activities that the entire family can enjoy and pass on the rest. Enjoy your family being at home. Have another family over to roast marshmallows and enjoy the fellowship. Most of all, keep your eyes focused on Jesus Christ. Without His love for the world, you would not be celebrating the true reason for Christmas.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. ~ Romans 5:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. ~Ephesians 2:8

Blessings,

Kerry Beck

Advent Activities To Celebrate the Holiday Season

Advent is the time period from December 1st to December 24th that identifies the days and weeks that come before Christmas. An Advent calendar or wreath is used to track the season, which represents “coming” as a derivative of the Latin word adventus.  This time period celebrates the period leading up to the birth of Christ.

One of the most common ways to prepare for Advent is to signify the progression of the holiday with an Advent calendar. There are a number of different ways Advent calendars can be created.

The typical way the calendar is made is by the use of Advent candles. There are 24 candles used to signify the 24 days that precede Christmas, from December 1st to December 24th. When a new day arrives, the family gathers around the advent calendar and lights a candle to signify the progression of the Advent season.

Advent calendars come in all shapes and sizes. They also come in a wide variety of formats and designs. One common design of an Advent calendar is in the form of a Christmas tree. This design has 24 candles attached to branches that make up the tree and are lit each day.

Another Advent calendar design is a candy holder calendar. The candy holder calendar includes 24 pockets that are filled with candy. As each day arrives in the holiday season, someone, usually a child, takes the candy out of the holder and eats it.

You can also track the holiday season by using an Advent wreath. An Advent wreath includes 4 candles to track the weeks of Advent. You light a candle on each week of Advent to track the progression of the holiday season.

There are many ways that Advent is celebrated by the religious community. Special services are held where the congregants gather together for prayer, worship and to be edified and encouraged. The religious leader may specifically focus on a message of encouragement to remind the congregation of the coming Christmas holiday and why we celebrate the birth of Christ. The church may also sing special hymns and spiritual songs that celebrate and promote the birth of Christ as well.

For families that are looking to celebrate the holiday season at home, there are a variety of Advent activities that can be engaged in. Families with kids may have an Advent calendar creation time where the family makes and designs a calendar together. Other families may have their kids engage in Advent-themed activities, such as playing with Advent toys or coloring in Advent coloring books.

Advent is a special time for millions of families all across the world. The decision for how you and your family prepare for it is a personal one. If you need ideas and suggestions, what we have provided here will help give you some ideas as well as help prompt you to come up with your own ideas as to how to celebrate this significant holiday season.

The Meaning of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”

At Christmas time, people often sing the song “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” but few know of the rich Christmas symbols behind the words of the song.   They often think of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” as the twelve days before Christmas. Actually, Epiphany comes after Christmas as the season of the Christian Year from December 25 until January 6.  The church celebrates Christ as the Light of the world and remembers the journey of the three magi.

Every day, from December 25 to January 6, was traditionally a part of the Yuletide celebration. Dedicated to mercy and compassion, each day was noted by selfless giving and tender charity. In many cultures, gift giving was not concentrated on a single day, but rather, as in the famous folk song, spread throughout the entire season.

The Church in England was prohibited from practicing their faith openly or in private from 1558 until 1829. It was then that “The Twelve Days of Christmas” song was written to be sung in public without fear of imprisonment. It became a type of catechism. The words to the song are an allegory with 2 meanings: the literal meaning and the figurative meaning known only to Christian followers.

Each word in the song represents something in a religious context. God is represented as “true love.”  “Me” symbolizes the members called upon to receive these gifts as a Christian. The partridge in a pear tree given on the first day as a symbol of Jesus Christ coming to save mankind.

Try and figure out the meaning of the remaining days as you go over the words to the song:

On the first day of Christmas, my true love sent to me A partridge in a pear tree.

On the second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the fifth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the sixth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the seventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the eighth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the ninth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me Twelve drummers drumming, Eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a-leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a-milking, Seven swans a-swimming, Six geese a-laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French hens, Two turtle doves, And a partridge in a pear tree.

How did you do?
